Terms of service

UnlockAbode is software that helps independent landlords manage rentals. You may use it to manage properties you own or are authorized to manage. You're responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for complying with the landlord-tenant laws that apply to you.

Keep your login secure. You're responsible for activity under your account. Don't use the service to break the law, harass anyone, or access data you're not entitled to.

You keep ownership of everything you and your tenants put into UnlockAbode — contact details, notes, messages, documents, and photos ("your content"). You grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to run the service for you.You're responsible for your content, and you confirm you have the right to enter and upload it. We don't ask for Social Security numbers, government IDs, bank details, or screening reports — please don't put that kind of data into free-text fields or uploaded files. If you do, you do so at your own risk.

Free for up to 4 units; paid plans as shown on our pricing page, which is the complete fee schedule. We won't move features you already have behind a paywall, and there are no setup or cancellation fees.

Cancel anytime, yourself, no fee. Export your data in one click. We don't hold your data hostage — that's a promise, not a setting.

UnlockAbode is a tool — not your accountant, lawyer, or financial advisor. Reports and totals are there to help, but always verify anything that matters before you rely on it.

We work hard to keep UnlockAbode accurate, secure, and available, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent allowed by law. We don't guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unlock Integrations LLCis not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill — this includes anything arising from the content you or your tenants enter into free-text fields or upload. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US $100. Some places don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you.

You agree to cover (indemnify) Unlock Integrations LLC against claims, losses, and costs arising from your content or from your use of the service in violation of these terms or the law.

We may update these terms; if a change is material, we'll update the date above and let you know. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
